College Skill Classes, Workshops, Open Lab

Skill Classes run over a four (4) week period, 1 class per week, 1.5 hours per class. 

An ideal way to learn a particular skill needed to take a Workshop or gain knowledge in a particular area. Classes assume basic computer knowledge and concepts.

Workshops run over a eight (8) week period, 1 class per week, 1.5 hours per class.

Offer a complete project of choice, combining multiple skills; design, fabrication, building, programming. All materials are included.

Robot

Students will learn the basic's of robot building. The components, parts and how to assemble to make a simple robot. Over the course of 4 classes, 1.50 hours each students will be introduced to 3D printers to make parts, basic programming to control robot, electronics to move robot.  This is a great foundation Skill Class for one of our Summer Camps.

Programming is an essential Skill to learn. This Skill Class will teach the student basic concepts of computer programming. The instructions used in computing, how a program is organized, how to write programs to do fun things, how to test a program. How to control motors, lights, displays and much more.  

3D Printing

Prerequisites:  Basic PC skill's

 

3D printing is an exciting and fun way to build things. This Skill Class will teach the student how 3D printers work, how to setup a machine, how to make it print, basic 3D designing and actually printing their own design.
